Time

Time is a fluid thing and somehow it just runs between your fingers, so you have no time left!

I had minor surgery on Friday, and I knew better than to expect to be able to do anything else on Friday.    Good thing, too, as I couldn’t move on Friday.  I thought by Saturday I’d be able to do something, but I couldn’t think on Saturday.  The drugs were too much.

So, today is Sunday, and I should be able to accomplish SOMETHING, anything.  I did manage to shower and do a load of laundry, but come on, is that it??  Time has just completely slipped away from me.  It’s 2:00 p.m. and I have at least six hours of work I’d like to do, plus some cooking and more laundry.

Oh, well, time has slipped away again.  I’ll never get it all done!

Try not to feel guilty for resting…especially when your body is telling you clearly that’s what it needs. I understand, though. There is always “something” you can/should be doing.

I know what you mean. Somedays the flow of time is as elusive and unstoppable as…oh…time :-)

I can’t help but remember two quotes from Douglas Adam’s, Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy

“Drink up,” said Ford, “you’ve got three pints to get through.”

“Three pints?” said Author. “At lunchtime?”

…”Time is an illusion. Lunchtime doubly so.”

…”This must be Thursday,” said Arthur to himself, sinking low over his beer. “I never could get the hang of Thursdays.”

I feel the same about Tuesdays. Monday’s are easy to get through by just ignoring it. Wednesday’s and Thursday’s are all about work…Friday’s all about the weekend. But Tuesdays…way to much trouble.
