Reading twitter posts this morning, Matthew Selznick (@mwsmedia) mentioned a site called BookTour.com.

The Book Tour site has a great look and feel. The first time I opened the page, it did some internet magic, knew I was browsing from Jacksonville, FL, and listed author events in the area for the next month.

The site is clean, and has a simple and easy to understand interface.

Book Tour is definitely going on the frequently checked site list.

    I looked at it, after I changed to my location instead of Plainfield, IL. Interesting…but no one good is coming here, as usual!

    No one that that really grabbed my attention here, either. However, I did end up reading about local authors I haven’t heard of before. If nothing else, that was pretty cool.

    It thinks I’m in Columbia, MO. It’s where my internet provider is located. There are certainly a lot of authors listed on the site, but I couldn’t find any of my favorite authors.

    I would suggest emailing your favorite authors and make them aware of the site. Knowing about upcoming tours can only help the authors.
