Check out this very cool laptop cover for book lovers.
I can’t take credit for finding it, (frankly, who can take credit for finding things on the internet?), @DadGoneMad mentioned it on twitter.

I wish I’d have found that first…it would have been your Christmas present.
Way cool. But it makes me think of the leather-bound books that are used solely as decoration–what a pity. Upon reading the link, it appears that they actually manufacture these rather than tear up a book to make them. So that’s ok!
Good point, Linda. But I’m not sure it would bother me even if they used real books to make them. As you point out, folks use books as decoration, often never reading them. I think that’s far worse than getting even utilitarian use out of the books. I guess I don’t hold the physical book in the same reverence you might.
I’m not sure it is reverence; I think it’s more a "stupid" prejudice. I don’t believe people who don’t read should use books as decoration. Of course, books are a large part of my decoration and the vast majority of those are unread!
